About us
Who answers when you call Ace Mold Restoration
We are a mold and water damage company working out of Midtown Manhattan. We find the water, remove the mold, dry the building and put it back, and we answer the phone 24 hours a day.

The work we take on
Ace Mold Restoration handles mold remediation, mold inspection and testing, water damage cleanup and the rebuild that follows, for apartments, houses and businesses. Our work falls into five groups:
- Mold remediation: Whole-job removal inside sealed containment, sized to the building: a single co-op unit, a restaurant basement or a floor of offices.
- Mold by room: Mold follows water, so each room has its own usual source. These pages cover what we open up, what we remove and what we fix so it stays gone.
- Inspection and testing: Finding the moisture, sampling the air and surfaces, and reading the results before anyone cuts into a wall.
- Water damage and moisture: Mold starts with water. Extraction, drying and humidity control within the first 24 to 48 hours stop most mold jobs before they exist.
- Air, odor and rebuild: What comes after removal: clean ducts and units, a room that no longer smells, belongings you can keep and walls put back.
Every job is listed with its own page under what we do, including what it involves and national cost ranges.

How a job runs, from the first call to cleanup
Whether it is one cabinet base or a whole floor, the order stays the same.
You call, day or night
A person answers. We ask where the water or mold is, how long it has been there and whether anything is still leaking.
We find the moisture
Meters and a thermal camera show how far the water went, before anything is opened.
We contain the area
Plastic walls, a zipper door and negative air keep spores inside the work area.
We remove what grew
Porous materials with growth come out and are bagged; hard surfaces are HEPA cleaned.
We dry to readings
Dehumidifiers run until the materials read dry, checked on each visit.
We rebuild and document
Walls, trim and floors go back, and you get photos, readings and a written summary.

Where we work
Our office is at 1153 6th Ave 5th Floor, New York, NY 10036, in Midtown. From there we cover all five boroughs, Nassau County, Westchester County and Yonkers, and Hudson County, Jersey City and Bergen County in New Jersey. Each area has its own page under nyc service area.
Who writes our guides
The guides in our Learn section are written and edited by Seymour Bledsoe, our mold and water guides editor. Each guide is built from the jobs we do and from public sources such as New York City agencies and published cost guides, and every guide lists those sources at the end so you can check them.
The guides are there to help you make a decision before you call, not to sell you a job. When a guide says a problem is small enough to handle yourself, it means it.

Three habits on every job
Water first
Removal waits until the leak is stopped and the area can dry. Mold removed from a wet wall grows back.
Containment every time
Sealed work areas under negative air, and hallways protected in occupied buildings.
Records you can keep
Photos and readings at every stage, which boards, landlords and insurers ask for.
